S.L. police adds Web-based filings

0 Comments | Deseret News (Salt Lake City), Dec 21, 2009

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Getting a copy of some Salt Lake City police reports will soon be as easy as a point and click with a mouse.

The department is launching a Web-based system that allows the public to file or get a copy of a report for vehicle burglary or tampering, hit-and-run accidents, theft, identity theft, vandalism, lost property or harassing phone calls.

Police Chief Chris Burbank says the system increases convenience for the public and keeps officers available to respond to higher priority calls. The system will speed up the insurance process for individuals filing claims.

Police personnel will review submitted reports and treat the information as if it had been collected by an officer in the field.

A link to the online reporting system is on the police department’s Web site.

Ways To Explain Options Trading?

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Before entering into any new form of investment, it is essential that you are able to comprehensively understand the activity. For instance, can you explain option trading? If it is somewhat that you will direct your nest egg or income towards, you must be able to realize accurately what it entails.

Someone who is able to explain option trading will generally have a good understanding of the basic concepts, procedures and strategies. This is not as easy or even as “basic” as it looks. Option trading is a somewhat unique approach to leveraging information and creating a certain level of risk management, and it doesn’t even have to involve the purchase of a single stock, security or commodity.

If you are able to explain option trading sprecisely then you are most likely a good candidate to start participating in this profitable approach to investing immediately. If you come across an explanation which is bit hard to tackle, however, you should spend some time doing research, getting involved in a few classes or seminars, and developing a much clearer and adequate base of knowledge before you make your first investments.

One major mistake made by millions of investors is to simply hand over their hard-won income to a trader or brokerage without first understanding what is going to be done with their money.

So, how you can explain option trading fundamentals? Without giving the detailed information, suffice it to say that an option trading is an agreement or contract between the buyer and the seller. The buyer is purchasing the “right” to buy or sell at least one hundred shares of an underlying asset (which could be a stock, commodity, or other financial vehicle) at a predetermined price.

What is the process of doing it in the world of financial trading? It is actually very simple – Let’s take a case that you are a buyer who thinks that a particular stock will rise in value by a certain time period. You call up a writer to purchase a ‘call option’ to buy that stock at a fixed price before a certain date

How I Paid Off $12,254 of Debt in 1 Year With John Cummuta’s Transforming Debt Into Wealth System

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

When many people think of John Cummuta’s Transforming Debt Into Wealth System they may be thinking that this is too good to be true. He says you can eliminate all your debts including your credit card debt and your home mortgage in 5 to 7 years with the current income you are already making. Does this scream scam to you? For me it was not.

Over the course of 12 months, using the principles in the Debt into Wealth debt elimination program I was able to pay off and eliminate over $12,000 worth of debt. This was card debt that I was paying 15 to 18% interest on per year. This saved me thousands of dollars a year in interest charges.

When you eliminate your credit card debts you can earn a guaranteed return on your investment of 15%, 18%, all the way up to 29.99% on your money. Instead of the credit card companies getting rich off your debts, you will be the one getting rich.

And I was very ecstatic when I was able to pay off my credit cards and have my balances finally reach zero. Can you imagine the feelings you will have once you are through paying off your credit card companies?

John Cummuta does not teaching the voodoo magic super secret system to get rid of your debts. He teaches you a proven system that allows you to take advantage of your creditors just like they have been taken advantage of you and kicking you when you are down for years.

And you do not have to make major changes to your lifestyle to make this happen either. You do not have to live off Ramen noodles to pay your credit card bills.

Neovacs Initiates a Phase II Clinical Trial of TNF Kinoid in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients Failing TNF Monoclonal Antibody Therapy

Business Wire, Dec 08, 2009

PARIS — Neovacs, a biotechnology company developing proprietary immunotherapies
for autoimmune and chronic diseases, today announced the initiation of a
Phase IIa clinical study of its TNF Kinoid immunotherapy in rheumatoid
arthritis patients who have ceased to respond to an anti-TNF monoclonal
antibody and who test positive for anti-drug antibodies (ADAs). The
announcement follows trial clearance by the French regulatory authority
(AFFSAPS) and the central ethics committee. Neovacs has also submitted
the trial protocol to the relevant authorities in two other European

ethics committee approval in the other.

that has seen Neovacs make significant progress, stated Guy-Charles
Fanneau de la Horie, CEO of Neovacs, Along with the ongoing Phase Ib
trial in Crohns patients, this new Phase IIa trial adds a second

THE Peugeot 308 Turbo was the big winner at this year’s New Straits Times/Maybank Car of the Year Awards 2009 (COTY).

The 308 Turbo won both the Overall Car of the Year and Family Car awards.

Priced at RM113,888 on-the-road with insurance, the locally assembled 308 Turbo was acknowledged by the COTY panel of judges as offering the best value for money in its segment.

Judges were also impressed by the car’s road handling, powerful performance, generous comfort and safety features as well as fuel efficiency.

The 308 Turbo also has a large panoramic glass roof, and is the only car in its segment with such a premium feature in the Malaysian market.

A common opinion amongst the COTY panel of judges was, “It combines motoring pleasure, safety and functionality in an attractively priced package.”

More than 150 CEOs and top management in the automotive industry were present at the awards night held at the Saujana Subang last Monday.

The guest-of-honour was Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The COTY 2009 judging panel comprised 10 judges including motoring publication editors, automotive bloggers and academicians.

The vehicles were judged based on criteria such as exterior and interior design, comfort and ergonomics, performance, safety, emotional appeal, and even after-sales factors such as the comprehensiveness of a car’s warranty.

For the third consecutive year, Maybank Bhd, Malaysia’s premier banking group and a leading player in automobile financing, is the official title spon-sor for COTY.

COTY is endorsed and supported by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).

This year, a total of 48 vehicles vied for top honours in 15 COTY categories.

Another highlight was the Toyota Prius petrol-electric hybrid car, which took the Good Design award for its eyecatching sculpted shape, driving ergonomics and an exterior styling that emphasised aerodynamic efficiency for improved petrol economy.

The third-generation 1.8-litre Prius has a world-leading fuel efficiency of 38km per litre (using the 10-15 test cycle in Japan) and this is partly due to a redesigned platform that minimises aerodynamic drag and a class-leading Cd value of 0.25.

COTY judges were also impressed by the overall “cockpit” feel of the cabin in the Prius.

Meanwhile, Volvo, a brand that is synonymous with top motoring safety qualities, came away with the Safety award for its XC60.

The impressive list of safety features in the XC60 includes the laser-based City Safety feature, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Alert Control and Collision Warning with Auto Brake.

Letters: An Eagles-Redskins nightmare

0 Comments | Philadelphia Daily News, December, 2009

THOUGH I live in Cecil County, Maryland, I support the Phillies, Sixers and Flyers.

But when it comes to football, I follow the Redskins. What I want to know is why so many Philly fans disrespect the visiting fans? I brought my family to the Eagles-Redskins game only to run into true jerks.

My kids, 9 and 13, had to listen to two Eagle fans cursing at us because we had Redskins shirts on. Then you get beer tossed on you. When you try to walk the family back to the car, you get approached by a drunk who wants to fight
